Tier 2 Sponsorship and Licences
We can find you a sponsor for your UK Tier 2 (General) visa application. You should have a contract worth at least £180 per day. It is easier to apply if you are already on a Tier 2 visa, Tier 1 (Post Study Work) visa or a Tier 4 (student) visa. For employers we can help with Tier 2 sponsorship licenceapplications.
Initial Tier 2 General Visas up to 5 Years
Please note that from 6th April 2014, applicants for Tier 2 (General) skilled worker visas will be able to apply either for a three year or a five year visa. It is likely that five year visas will be considerably more expensive than three year visas. The cost of a three year visa will rise by 4%.
UK Visa Maintenance Requirements Increase
From July 2014, the maintenance requirement for Tier 4 students and other UK visa holders will increase. The level of funds that visa applicants will need to have has not as yet been revealed.
Huge increase in investment requirements for Tier 1 Investor Visas
The UK’s Migration Advisory Committee has advised that the minimum qualifying investment for Tier 1 (Investor) visa applicants should be doubled from £1m to £2m. The Home Office will respond to the advice soon. The Committee has also advised that the UK should auction 100 premium Tier 1 (Investor) visas annually for a minimum of £2.5m each.
Changes to salary rates for Tier 2 skilled employees
The UK government has announced that it will publish new salary rates set out in the codes of practice for skilled employees. The good news is that some of the salary rates are likely to go down making it easier to apply for Tier 2 visas.
Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) Visa – New ‘Tech Visa’ category
The UK’s Immigration Minister, James Brokenshire has announced that London IT body Tech City will be able to endorse IT professionals for Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) visas. This will allow some exceptionally talented IT professionals to apply for UK visas to work in the UK’s booming IT sector.
Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Visa
The UK’s Chief Inspector of Immigration reported last year that there is now a backlog of over 9,000 applications for the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa. The visa experienced a spike in popularity after the Tier 1 (Post Study Work) visa was abolished. We can help you with your Tier 1 entrepreneur application and maximise your chances of success.
Religious workers coming to work in the UK for two years or less should apply for a Tier 5 Temporary Work visa. Religious workers applying for a Tier 5 visa need to be sponsored by a licenced Tier 5 sponsor. The employer needs to apply for a Tier 5 sponsorship licence.
